A Typical Day
Typically, children will start to arrive shortly after 7:30am at which point a full range of healthy breakfast options available.
Morning activities follow our In the Moment planning ethos. This involves the close observation of childrens interests, reacting imediately to these by spotting teachable moments, and using these teachable moments as a starting point to scaffold new learning. This ensures children remain engaged at a very high level of learning
Lunch is eaten together during which time table manners are re-enforced. Children help to prepare and serve meals, supporting the important `British Value`of rule of law, by learning that they have responsibilities within their environment.
After lunch, children enjoy music and rhyme time, an `Attention Hillingdon` session and a phonics session before quiet time, during which children can either relax if necessary take a nap.
Afternoon play is generally child-led and time is spent in the garden at this point (weather permitting).
